Alon Shaya is an Israeli-born, Philadelphia-raised, multiple James Beard Award-winning chef celebrated for his vibrant, heritage-driven cuisine. A Culinary Institute of America graduate, he is the owner of acclaimed restaurants including Saba, Safta, Miss River, and Chandelier Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans. Shaya is also the author of Shaya: An Odyssey of Food, My Journey Back to Israel, co-founded Pomegranate Hospitality with his wife Emily, and continues to champion culinary education and cultural storytelling through initiatives like the Shaya Barnett Foundation.
